The Fig & Forge Story
Fig & Forge didn’t begin as a sleek studio or polished brand. It started in a garage in Tulsa — sparks flying, metal clamping to makeshift tables, and one guy trying to build each piece a little better than the last. Word spread, not because things were fancy, but because we listened. If someone showed up with an idea scribbled on a scrap of paper, we’d fire up the equipment and try to bring it to life. And when a design didn’t work the first time, we’d adjust it or start over until it finally felt right.
That mindset never really left. Today, our shop looks cleaner and the tools are a little nicer, but the heart of it is the same. We’re still hands-on fabricators who like figuring things out. We still believe that good design should feel solid, simple, and honest. And we still think customization shouldn’t mean sky-high pricing — just thoughtful work done efficiently.
Along the way, we learned something else: people want to trust the folks they’re buying from. So we built the kind of policy we’d want as customers ourselves. If your piece arrives and it’s not what you hoped for, we take it back. Free returns in the custom furniture world are almost unheard of, but to us it just feels right for our valued customers. You deserve something you’re excited to use every day. A lot has changed since those early garage days, but the core has stayed the same: make good things, treat people well, and keep improving. That’s the story we’re still writing — one custom piece at a time.
